Heather Jones is an information design, motion graphics, and illustration specialist with more than 20 years of experience in media and publishing. She has worked as an art director, designer, and news graphics producer for leading brands, creating visual stories that translate complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.
Her work spans data visualization, collage-based illustration, editorial design, and short-form animation, using text, numbers, images, motion, and sound to build cohesive visual worlds. Clients have included The New York Times, Time, IBM, Microsoft, McKinsey Digital, Scientific American, The Guardian, and UN agencies, among others. Heather’s graphics and animations have been recognized by the New York Press Club, SPD, Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt’s Best American Infographics, and have appeared everywhere from international exhibits to global summits.
She is based in Brooklyn and works independently with editorial, nonprofit, and commercial partners on projects ranging from quick-turn news graphics to long-form visual storytelling.
